Allegiant Stadium Receives Two Play to Zero Awards at Green Sports Alliance Summit

(Las Vegas, NV) – Allegiant Stadium – home of the Las Vegas Raiders – was recognized by the Green Sports Alliance (GSA) for its achievements in sustainable practices and awarded two Play to Zero awards at the 14th Annual Green Sports Alliance Summit, the premier event in sports and entertainment sustainability. The stadium received the Energy Champion Award for 100% reduction or offsets and the Waste Leader Award for 50%+ diversion from landfill. 

The Play to Zero awards celebrate outstanding tracking efforts and impressive reduction achievements in water, waste, and energy, and highlight continuous improvements in building-level sustainability. 

Leadership from Allegiant Stadium and the Las Vegas Raiders attended the Green Sports Alliance Summit at L.A. LIVE on June 11-13, 2024, in Los Angeles, Calif. 

Over three dynamic days, GSA welcomed more than 800 sports and entertainment industry professionals to Crypto.com Arena and the Peacock Theater. With over 230 visionary speakers, attendees explored how to move Faster, Further, Together through breakouts, workshops, main-stage presentations, and networking sessions, and made a positive impact on the local community by beautifying one mile of Estrella Park. 

During the summit, Allegiant Stadium participated in the “Different Venues, Different Concessionaires, Same Goal” panel discussion highlighting the venue’s waste diversion program. The panel encompassed how new venues and concessionaire partners have collaborated to create and introduce holistic waste programs.
