Allegiant Stadium, Home of the Las Vegas Raiders, Installs 16 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
(Las Vegas, NV) – The Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium, in partnership with NV Energy and Blink Charging Co. as the official Electric Vehicle (EV) charging provider, will offer much-needed, reliable EV charging solutions with the installation of 16 charging stations at the award-winning stadium.
The installation of the EV charging stations is part of NV Energy’s Economic Recovery Transportation Electrification Plan (ERTEP), which aims to increase access to EV charging infrastructure in high traffic areas such as casinos, resorts, and sports complexes.
“We are proud to partner with NV Energy and to play a role in expanding access to electric vehicle charging stations for our fans, Las Vegas residents, and tourists,” Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan said at a press conference. “This partnership is redefining sports by showcasing how teams and organizations can leverage their influence and drive positive change beyond the confines of the field.”
As demand and popularity for electric vehicles surge, the addition of Blink’s chargers across Allegiant Stadium’s footprint stands poised to empower fans, employees, and visitors, offering a convenient option to charge EVs while visiting the global sports and entertainment destination.
“Our organization’s record on sustainability and renewable energy speaks for itself, and we feel more than confident putting our trust in Blink’s know-how and expertise to provide fans and guests a seamless EV charging experience when visiting Allegiant Stadium. This will be yet another step in further enriching our top-tier guest experience,” Raiders Vice President of Stadium Operations Christopher Sotiropulos said.
Sixteen of Blink’s powerful Series 8 charging stations have been installed in parking lots A, D, and F at Allegiant Stadium. The Series 8 features a Level 2 80-amp charger and two charging ports with 18-foot charging cables, offering flexibility and convenient built-in features. Visitors can make payments using credit cards or digital wallets, eliminating the necessity for memberships, RFID cards, or mobile apps.
Access to the EV charging stations is open to the public and available 24/7 on a first-come, first-served basis. On event days, a valid parking pass is required for parking in all Allegiant Stadium controlled lots, including lots with EV charging stations.
The Raiders and Allegiant Stadium are committed to developing and implementing sustainable policies and programs that minimize their environmental impact. In addition, Allegiant Stadium is proud to be both LEED Gold Certified and powered by 100% Nevada-sourced renewable energy.
